Calgary International Airport or YYC Calgary International Airport serves the city of Calgary in Canada.

The airport is spread over an area of 21.36 square kilometers and is located approximately 17 km from the downtown.

Terminals at Calgary International Airport

1. Domestic Terminal

Calgary Airport Domestic terminal is connected to the second terminal that is an international terminal by a 62-meter corridor.

The same corridor links the domestic terminal at the airport to the YYC link passenger shuttle.

As the name suggests, the domestic terminal or Terminal 1 operates all the local flights in Canada. Also, it has a total of three levels, namely Level 1, Level 2, and Mezzanine Level.

  • Level 1:

This level can also be called as the arrival level. If you have booked flights to Canada and are present at this level, you can locate the baggage claim and information center, along with the car rental information center here.

Other services available at the airport are the meeting point, visitors’ reception center, information desk, and kids port.

  • Level 2:

It is the departure level for the domestic terminal at Calgary International Airport. The level 2 has a car rental center and a valet service available outside it.

Moreover, in addition to check-in counters, the level has ATMs, currency exchange, kids port, first aid station, VIP lounges, etc.

Also, the level allows access to the domestic terminal concourses that are three in number. These are:

A Concourse: It has departure gates A11-24.

B Concourse: Departure gates B31-40.

C Concourse: This concourse C of the domestic terminal has departure gate C50-59, C61-65, and C70-73.

  • Mezzanine Level:

Lounges at Domestic Terminal of Calgary International Airport

After a tiring flight travel in Canada, you can relax at two lounges available at the domestic terminal of the airport. These are:

  • Chinook Lounge

The lounge is present at the Concourse A of the domestic terminal. It is open for a fixed time that is between 6:00 am to 10: 45 pm.

  • Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge

This lounge is present at the Concourse C of the Calgary International Airport.

International Terminal 

After you have booked flights from India to Canada or vice versa, you will reach Terminal 2 of the Calgary International Airport.

The terminal is also known as Transborder Terminal and came into operations in 2016.

Like the domestic terminal, the international terminal also has two concourses that are Concourse D and Concourse E.

You should note that the flights starting from Concourse D serves only the destinations across the United States.

However, Concourse E of the airport offers connections to various international destinations across the globe.

  • Ground Level

  • Airport Transportation Facility

You can avail of various transportation services to and from the airport at your convenience. These include:

You can hire a taxi or choose a car rental option from the airport’s rental car center. The center is located across the street from the main airport terminal on the departure level.

(2) Hotel shuttles

You can call for the hotel and get the shuttle service waiting for you at the Bus Bays 16 and 17.

(3) Airport-Downtown Shuttle

Such a shuttle service issues scheduled services to fixed stops from the airport within the limits of the Calgary city.

The frequency of the service is thirty minutes, and the buses depart from the bay 19 and 29 from the airport.

If you have got your flights booked from Calgary to India, you need to get the tickets for the shuttle booked in advance.

Also, this booking can be made online or from the Allied Shuttle counter at the airport at arrival levels near Gate C.

(4) Inter Terminal Transportation

At the Calgary International Airport, you can find the YYC passenger shuttle service that connects Concourse A to Concourse D/E.

The time taken by these shuttles in the connection is 5 minutes, with a total of 4 stops on the way.

There are a total of 20 shuttles with a maximum capacity of 10 passengers each that run between 6.15 am to 12.30 am.

(5) Red Arrow Motorcoach

This services issue motorcoach between Calgary International Airport and Edmond, Fort McMurray, Red Deer, Red Deer, and other smaller communities in Alberta.

The counter is located in the meeting place B of the airport near the International arrivals.

(10) Foods and Beverages

You can locate varied Food concessions across the airport following multiple schedules.

However, Tom Hortons that is present at the arrivals across Concourse C near door 7, remains open all through the day and night.

Also, you will find water refill stations that provide free refilling of water bottles to relieve you of the thrust after a tiring flight from India to Canada.

(11) Showers, Spas, and Salons

Some of the lounges at the airport offer shower facility and also the OraOxygen Wellness Spa.

This spa offers passengers relaxing oxygen therapy and spa treatments. The spa is located near the domestic departure at the Calgary International Airport.

The travelers have to pay C$12 for a spa treatment for 15 minutes and C$20 for a duration of 30 minutes.

Also, note that the spa remains open from 9.30 am to 8.00 pm from Monday to Friday, and 10.00 am to 6.00 pm on weekends.
